Building on their fantastic success at Le Mans, the R8 broke new ground for Audi in both performance and styling. With the addition of a Carbonio airbox, its powerful FSI engine gets a much needed boost in breathing, increasing both power and torque.  The venturi shaped inlets, together with special high performance filters provide optimized air flow which results in a boost of 6-8 horsepower and 7-9 lb/ft of torque to the wheels.

During construction, Carbonio uses only the finest autoclaved pre-impregnated carbon fiber to insure consistency throughout the entire part.  The carbon fiber construction also guarantees low inlet temperatures which are essential for optimum performance.
