The IPD intake plenum is one of those amazing parts that most Cayman owners will never get to show off, thanks to the Cayman’s mid-engine design and thick, sound deadening engine cover.  But just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there, helping unlock the power your Cayman needs.  The IPD plenum’s unique “Y” design has many features that make is a drastic improvement over the restrictive factory plastic “T” style unit.  Airflow is directed through the IPD plenum’s unique diversion splitter, which reduces turbulence, smoothes airflow, and maximizes air speed into the engine.  The end results of the improved airflow are improved throttle response as well as dyno-proven horsepower and torque gains throughout the rpm range.  The IPD Cayman S plenum is designed as a direct factory replacement for the OEM part and does not require an enlarged throttle body.
